This month has had so many great events and surprises. That is why it is the month of awesome.
To begin, first; Jon and I celebrated our anniversary. We all went to Pittsburgh Streak for dinner. It was great. Jackson had fun trying out all of our food plus his. It was fun. I so enjoy taking the boys with us to dinner. I think its great for them and Jackson really seems to enjoy it.
Noah turned one month. He is doing well. Making noises, trying to roll over, and enjoying all the attention. He’s in the 50th percentile for his height and weight. His doctor thinks he is doing great.
Signed Jackson up for a pre-preschool class. Its one day a week for 2 1/2 hrs. I am so excited for him. I really hope he enjoys it and has fun. Well I know he’ll have fun because he knows one of the teachers. I have been trying hard to get him prepared for school with as much as I can. I am so excited for him to start this. Something else to do one day a week. YEAH!
The biggest news though came just a week before Thanksgiving. It was something my family had heard about but was not sure on what the meaning of it was. The White Earth Tribe had a vote on the changing of their constitution. So in other means, no longer will blood percentage be relevant, lineage will be what they will be looking at. The vote passed on Nov. 20th. I am now filling out paperwork to change my nationality and become a member of the White Earth Tribe. I have sent in my paperwork and if excepted, which it should be, I will be getting my card in the mail. Also with that, I will be able to register Jackson and Noah as well. A big step closer to their native roots. I am so excited. I am planning on going up to the White Earth Office after I am registered to see what all this will entail for me. For me, the only thing that matters is being able to check the Native American box. It has been a dream of mine that is finally coming true. YEAH! I am so excited.
